The Australian galah is not only a very intelligent bird, but it is also a loving social animal that mates for life.

The Galahs are small birds about 14 inches long and have a pink face and chest. While the neck and other underparts are rose red. The sexes of the bird generally looks to be the same except their colors vary slightly. The male is larger in body size compared to that of the female and has dark brown iris compared to the pink iris of the females. The Galah or Pink Cockatoo normally weights between 300 and 435 grams.
